10 Weeks
We had an ultrasound on Tuesday, and it turns out that I was a week behind where I thought I was, so I am only 10 weeks this week and I thought I was 11. I feel cheated out of that week! I didn't want to move backwards, only forwards! Plus, that makes my new due date December 23, which is way too close to Christmas. I hope for the baby's sake it isn't a Christmas baby. The ultrasound was really awesome though, we could see the heart beating, and she turned on the sound for a second so we could hear it as well. The baby stayed pretty still for most of the time, but right in the middle started flailing all its limbs, it was so cool to watch it wiggling around (but weird to know that was going on inside of me!). They said everything looked normal, the amount of fluid around it, the heartrate, etc. All that is good news! I know this picture isn't very clear, but I wanted to share. And yes, I know it looks like a piglet in this picture, but I am pretty sure that is the umbilical cord not a tail! I think he/she lost its tail a couple of weeks ago :).
