A lot of people already know, but I wanted to officially announce to the blog world that I am pregnant! This is our first child and we are very, very excited, and yes it was planned. I have had it pretty easy as far as early pregnancy symptoms go (not bragging, just counting my blessings), I have had some queasiness off and on but nothing too bad. Mainly I have just been really, really, really tired! We had our first ultrasound at 6 weeks, and got to see the white blob that was our baby. It was very cool to see it on the screen, and very, very nice to get the reassurance that the midwife could see the heartbeat. I think I am 10 weeks now, and the baby is the size of a kumquat (according to babycenter.com) and is supposedly finished with all the critical development stages, now it is just going to be growing and building on what is already there now. It is a little unfair that all of that happens when you are feeling so queasy, there are days when all I had a taste for was French fries and Chick-Fil-A nuggets. Not exactly a healthy diet. I have been trying to eat as well as possible, and trying not to give myself a hard time when it doesn’t happen. We have another ultrasound next Wednesday to try to pinpoint the due date a little better, right now it is tentatively set for December 16th. I can’t wait to see the baby again, but I am nervous too. I hope everything looks okay!
